Approximately 120 members attended the workshop. Evaluations from attendees were positive (both verbal and written). President, Loray Averett welcomed attendees followed by a special welcome by Cary Planning Director Jeff Ulma. The first morning session reviewed the General Statures regarding regulation of historic properties while the second session covered enforcement of historic preservation ordinances and some specific cases. We appreciate their willingness to continue to support NCAZO. Thanks Rich & Dave! On Tuesday, Rick Hester, Assistant Director of Durham Neighborhood Improvement Services, presented a session focused on non-residential nuisance codes. Following Rick was Lauren Blackburn, AICP, Town of Davidson Planner. She presented a session on Zoning for Open Space. Thanks to all the speakers!
